Events CommitteeThe NGR Owners Association has created a Community Events Committee to organize functions that foster neighborly stewardship among families who live within Nellie Gail Ranch. Through longstanding traditions such as our annual family Santa Visit and Easter Egg Hunts, alonger with newer events such as the summer Concerts at the Ranch series, these events provide an opportunity for neighbors to socialize in a casual atmosphere and celebrate our wonderful surroundings. Events are completely planned and staged by volunteer homeowners with an annual budget provided by our homeowner dues and some sponsorship. Assistance is always welcomed... to volunteer.
Emergency Preparedness CommitteeNELLIE GAIL EMERGENCY PREPAREDNESS PLAN It is important that Association members be prepared for possible disasters or other emergencies which can strike suddenly and at any time. Cities are mandated to prepare disaster emergency plans to allocate and dispatch emergency services such a fire, police, rescue services etc. However, in the case of major emergencies there is little that government and other agencies, such as the Red Cross, can do during the first 24-72 hours because of disruptions in communications and transportation. Most help will come at the community level where neighbors will help neighbors provided they are prepared to give that help. Nellie Gail has an Emergency Preparedness Committee that has been working on your behalf to help organize the community. In the next few months a budget request will be submitted to the Board to set up an Emergency Command Center.
In the mean time, teams are forming so that we can help each other. We are planning a medical team, search & rescue team, animal rescue team & command center group. Additionally, we are signing up block captains to organize neighbors to help each other. If you are interested in joining or heading one of these teams please contact Bryant Rossiter at 949-643-2015.
So organize a party with your neighbors & make some plans! Exchange important information & phone numbers. Pick a captain for everyone to check in with. Call Bryant with your Captain’s name.
For more information contact or the Association office 949-425-1477.
Put your emergency kits together now! Make it fun. You may need it as soon as tomorrow.
