In 1978, Bud was named the Head Tennis Professional at the Westlake Village Tennis Club, where he stayed until 1992. While there Bud coached Westlake High School to 2 first place league finishes and then moved on to Moorpark Junior College where he coached for 5 years and received coach of the year honors once.
