From the Week ending August 18, 2023
|As the weekend approaches with the potential for tropical winds in Southern California, prioritizing storm safety is paramount. To prepare for the upcoming weather, ensure that drains and gutters are clear of debris to prevent water buildup and potential flooding. Safeguard outdoor furniture by either securing it or moving it indoors to prevent it from becoming dangerous projectiles. If you have a pool, take measures to prevent debris from entering it, as well as to avoid water overflow that could contribute to flooding. Stay updated with official weather forecasts and consider establishing an emergency kit with essentials like water, non-perishable food, flashlights, and batteries.|
