| Fireworks Safety Tips |
Nellie Gail Ranch is an Equestrian Community and heightened courtesy is requested to keep our equestrian and livestock animals safe. Fireworks can be hazardous when misused, and personal fireworks are not permitted in Laguna Hills. Horses are prey animals with a strong instinct to flee from sudden, loud noises. Panicked horses can bolt and run toward fences or harm themselves in stalls when frightened potentially becoming injured. An additional reason to avoid personal fireworks is fire safety. When hosting barbecues, keep grills a safe distance from homes, fences, and trees. Never leave a grill unattended, and clean grease buildup before use to prevent flare-ups. The following link is to a portion of the Police Services July Newsletter outlining fireworks rules and safety tips on pg 1 and fire safety on pg 2.Have a happy and safe 4th of July on this 50th year of Nellie Gail Ranch and 250th year of our country! |
