Moulton Arena

Moulton Arena will be Closed forRenovation January 6-24th The Equestrian Committee and Trails Committee have evaluated the Moulton Arena’s functionality and developed a renovation plan to modernize the arena and improve its functionality.  The current arena is an irregular shape and its outdated racing rails reduce the usable surface of the arena.  A plan has been developed to demo the existing railings and replace the single arena with a 50 foot diameter round pen for training and exercise separate from the arena.  Adjacent to the round pen we will construct a 170 foot by 80 foot arena with modular railings.  This project will provide an enhanced equestrian experience at Moulton Park in support of the Nellie Gail Ranch equestrian heritage.

Holiday Hours of Operations

Hours of Operation The Nellie Gail Ranch Owners Association office will be closedon Wednesday, January 1st in observance of the New Years holiday. The Tennis & Swim Club will close at 4:00pm on Tuesday,December 31st and will be closed all-day Wednesday, January 1st. The Watering Hole Restaurant closes at 10:00pm on New Year’s Eve – Tuesday, December 31st and will be closed all-day Wednesday, January 1st.

Sweetwater Trail Drainage Renovation

Sweetwater Trail is open for equestrian and hiking purposes.  New underground drainage will move runoff and natural spring seepage off the trail making it more rideable and hikeable following rains.  Come on out and enjoy this trail which is one the nicest among Nellie Gail Ranch’s over 25 miles of trails!

To enhance your experience of touring the Nellie Gail Ranch community this holiday season, the attached map will help guide you to the festive displays of the 2024 Holiday Home Decorating Contest participants. Trail Closure

The Sweetwater trail, between Oso Parkway and Nellie Gail Road, will be closed to all trail users starting Monday, December 16, 2024 until approximately Friday, December 20, 2024 for trail renovations. See image below with the affected trail hi-lighted in yellow. Special arrangements can be made in advance for hay deliveries, farrier access or emergency access. Please contact the Association office if you require access during this trail closure.
